But not everyone has discovered our hometown...the quiet, picturesque village of Norris, a small tree-lined neighborhood with miles of sidewalks and walking trails and acres of parks, green commons and nature preserves. Since there is no door to door mail delivery, every morning the post office and drug store become the place where neighbors congregate for conversation and coffee.   Some folks think of Norris as a family neighborhood...one where our elementary and middle schools are still small and close-knit...and within walking distance of most everyone.

Others have labeled it as almost the perfect retirement community, a quiet neighborhood where the streets are safe and secure...with no traffic jams...and hospitals and medical facilities are just minutes away.   Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast, for whom the nearby trout streams and songbird trails are a major attraction, or a social activist who enjoys book clubs, gardening or craft groups or cultural events...there is clearly something for everyone.
